Terms & Conditions of Use

1.1 Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or utilising the Adept Academy website (https://adept.marketing-campaign.com.sg) and any associated websites or web pages (collectively, “the Sites”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the Sites.

1.2 Intellectual Property Rights

All content on the Sites, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, audio clips, digital downloads, data compilations, and software, is the property of Adept Academy or its content suppliers and is protected by international copyright laws. The compilation of all content on the Sites is the exclusive property of Adept Academy and is protected by international copyright laws.

1.3 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Adept Academy and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, partners, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

  1. your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Sites;
  2. any conduct or content of any third party on the Sites;
  3. any content obtained from the Sites; and
  4. unauthorised access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence) or any other legal theory, whether or not we have been informed of the possibility of such damage.

1.4 Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Adept Academy and its licensee and licensors, and their employees, contractors, agents, officers and directors, from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to legal fees), resulting from or arising out of:

  1. your use and access of the Sites, by you or any person using your account and password;
  2. a breach of these Terms, or
  3. content posted on the Sites.

1.5 Modifications to Terms

Adept Academy reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days’ notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

Course Registration Terms and Conditions

2.1 Registration and Payment

By registering for a course offered by Adept Academy, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. Payment for courses must be made in full at the time of registration unless otherwise specified.

2.2 Intellectual Property

All course materials, including but not limited to presentations, handouts, and digital resources, are the intellectual property of Adept Academy and are protected by copyright laws. These materials are provided for personal, non-commercial use only and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used for any other purpose without the express written consent of Adept Academy.

2.3 Attendance and Participation

Learners are required to attend all scheduled sessions and participate actively in course activities. Adept Academy reserves the right to withhold certificates of completion if attendance or participation requirements are not met.

2.4 Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to the course start date will receive a full refund minus an administrative fee. Cancellations made within 14 days of the course start date are non-refundable. Adept Academy reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses, in which case a full refund will be provided to registered participants.

2.5 Learner Conduct

Learners are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner during all course activities. Adept Academy reserves the right to remove any learner from a course for disruptive or inappropriate behaviour without refund.

Zero Tolerance Policy

3.1 Scope

This policy applies to all interactions with Adept Academy, including but not limited to on-premises activities, online platforms, telephone communications, and any other form of engagement.

3.2 Prohibited Conduct

The following behaviours are strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated:

  1. Physical or verbal aggression
  2. Offensive, aggressive, or abusive language or behaviours
  3. Discriminatory language or behaviour based on race, colour, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic
  4. Inflammatory statements or unfounded allegations
  5. Harassment of any kind, including sexual harassment
  6. Disruption of the educational environment
  7. Any behaviour that threatens the safety or well-being of staff, learners, or other associated individuals

3.3 Consequences of Policy Violation

Adept Academy reserves the right to take immediate action in response to any violation of this policy, including but not limited to:

  1. Immediate removal from the premises or online platform
  2. Termination of the individual’s participation in any Adept Academy programme or course without refund
  3. Reporting of violent incidents or credible threats to the appropriate law enforcement authorities
  4. Legal action, where appropriate

3.4 Reporting Violations

Any individual who witnesses or experiences a violation of this policy is encouraged to report the incident immediately to Adept Academy management.

Data Protection and Privacy

4.1 Data Collection and Use

Adept Academy collects and processes personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) of Singapore and other applicable data protection laws. By providing your personal information, you consent to the collection, use, and processing of this data as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

4.2 Data Security

Adept Academy implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction, or damage.

4.3 User Rights

Individuals have the right to access, correct, or update their personal data held by Adept Academy. Requests regarding personal data should be directed to the contact information provided in Section 6.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms and conditions and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these terms and conditions, the Privacy Policy, or any use of the Sites or Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

All notices, requests, demands, and other communications under this agreement shall be in writing and shall be deemed to have been duly given on the date of service if served personally, on the date of transmittal by email, or on the second day after posting by first-class mail, registered or certified, postage prepaid.
